Scan
Turn the cube around in your hand and show each side, in any order and any way round. The app finds the cube and captures each side by itself. Don’t twist any layers while scanning.
Show the camera each side of your cube, check the colours, then follow the moves one at a time.
Bright, even light works best. Avoid glare.
Show all six sides, in any order and any way round. The cube can be anywhere in view, and each side is captured by itself. Avoid bright light behind or reflecting on the cube.

Don’t turn the cube yet. Keep it exactly as you scanned it.
F = front, B = back, R = right, L = left, U = top, D = bottom. A plain letter means a quarter turn clockwise, a prime (′) means anticlockwise, and 2 means a half turn. Clockwise always means as seen when looking straight at that face.
“Undo” only rewinds the diagram. Undo the same turn on your real cube too.

The app works out how each side was held and corrects camera mistakes using the rules of a real cube. Anything it isn’t sure about is outlined.
Follow the moves one at a time. A 3D diagram shows how the cube should look after each move.
Works with standard six-colour 3×3 cubes: white opposite yellow, green opposite blue, red opposite orange. Picture cubes, 2×2 and 4×4 are not supported.
For accurate colours, use daylight or bright white light, tilt the cube slightly to avoid glare, and fill the square with the face. Each face’s centre colour calibrates the camera, so later scans and your earlier unchecked faces get more accurate as you go.
