Math puzzles that grow with you.
Pick your starting level, from Level 1 to 30, and climb all the way to Level 50, one puzzle at a time. Math Citizen learns where your edge is and keeps you on it. Every challenge is new, written on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence, and nothing ever leaves the device.

Always at the edge of what you can do
Your name, your age, your level
Type a first name or nickname, give your age, and choose where to start: Beginner (Level 1), Intermediate (10), Advanced (20) or Expert (30). All of it stays on your iPhone or iPad. No birthdate, no email, no account.
A skill rating for each kind of puzzle
Behind the scenes, Math Citizen keeps a rating for every kind of puzzle, in the spirit of a chess rating. A right answer lifts it, and a fast right answer lifts it more. A miss brings it down.
The next puzzle, just past it
Each new puzzle is chosen at the edge of your ability: hard enough to make you think, not so hard that you give up. Fractions can climb while subtraction takes its time.
- Aged 7 3 + 4 Starts on single-digit sums.
- Then Up or down Every answer moves the rating, so the start soon stops mattering.
- An adult 6 × 4 − 9 Starts on mixed operations.
Written on your device, checked by the app
Worked out by the app itself
The numbers in every puzzle, and the right answer, are always computed by Math Citizen’s own code. The AI never decides what is correct, so an answer is never marked wrong by mistake.
Told by Apple Intelligence
On the device, Apple Intelligence invents a fresh setting for each story problem, in a theme that suits your age — space, cooking, sport, animals, city-building — and writes a hint when you are stuck. It runs on your iPhone or iPad, not on a server.
Every mode still works
If Apple Intelligence is turned off, or your device cannot run it, nothing is missing from the game: Math Citizen writes the puzzles itself, and every mode plays the same.

Three ways to play
Climb
An endless run that adapts as you go. You have three lives, and consecutive right answers build a combo multiplier for your XP.
Daily
Ten puzzles, with the same numbers for everyone playing on the device that day. Play each day to keep your daily streak, and its flame, alight.
Sprint
Sixty seconds on the clock and as many puzzles as you can solve. Your personal best is the number to beat.
From Newcomer to Legend
Every right answer earns XP — more for harder puzzles, faster answers and answers inside a combo — and XP fills your rank bar. Ten ranks stand between arriving and belonging.

What it looks like
Nothing leaves the device
- Data Not Collected
- No account
- No network
- No ads
- No tracking
- No analytics
- No Game Center
Math Citizen makes no network requests at all. There is no account, no sign-in, no Game Center, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. On the App Store its privacy label reads Data Not Collected, because that is what happens.
Your age stays on the device. It is asked once, kept on your iPhone or iPad with your progress, badges and settings in the app’s own storage, and used only to pick where you start and which story themes suit you. Apple Intelligence runs on the device too, so the stories and hints it writes are made there and go nowhere.
Deleting is simple. Settings › Reset progress wipes it all; deleting the app deletes it too. The full detail is in the Math Citizen privacy policy.

Before you play.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no in-app purchases, nothing to subscribe to, and no “premium” version waiting behind the good puzzles.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. It is rated 4+, has no ads, nothing to buy and no way to talk to anyone, and it collects no data from anyone of any age. The age it asks for stays on the device and only sets where the puzzles start and which story themes it picks.
What if the AI gets an answer wrong?
It cannot mark you wrong. The numbers and the right answer always come from Math Citizen’s own code; Apple Intelligence only writes the story around them and the hint. The app checks your answer, not the AI.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
No. If it is off, or your iPhone or iPad cannot run it, Math Citizen writes the puzzles itself and every mode works the same. With it, you get story problems in fresh themes and hints written for the puzzle in front of you.
Does my progress sync between devices?
No. There is no account and no network, so progress lives on the device you play on. That is the trade for nothing ever leaving it.
How do I start again?
Settings › Reset progress wipes everything Math Citizen keeps on that device — your name, age, level, progress, badges and settings — and you begin again at the welcome screen. To change only your name, age or level, use Settings.
If something is wrong, write to a person
Math Citizen is made by one small practice in Sydney. There is no ticket queue and no bot: mail reaches a person, and bug reports — a puzzle that felt unfair, a story that made no sense — are genuinely welcome.
