Rescue: a senior operator inside two weeks.
For programmes already in trouble. Missed steerco. Burning budget. Vendor tension. Unclear ownership. Cyber or compliance pressure. Company 31 arrives, reads the ground, and resets the trajectory inside thirty days.
Signs it is time for Rescue.
If three or more of these feel familiar, the programme is past the point where another internal steerco will fix it.
- Steerco reporting has gone green-amber for two cycles in a row and no one believes it.
- Budget burn is outpacing delivery and the next forecast is already late.
- The vendor and the internal team are arguing about scope in writing.
- Ownership of a critical workstream is ambiguous or rotating.
- Cyber, privacy, or compliance has flagged an issue that has not moved in a month.
- Sponsors are asking for confidence they are not getting from the current leadership.
- Licence spend is climbing without a matching uplift in use.
Thirty days. Six moves.
-
Read the ground
Artefact review, stakeholder interviews, walk the day-to-day. No survey instruments. No pre-packaged maturity model.
-
Reset the scope
A single-page statement of what is in, what is out, and what was pretending to be in. Signed by the sponsor.
-
Rebuild the RAID
Risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies. Written in English a CFO can act on. Owners named against every line.
-
Rewire governance
Steerco agenda, decision rights, escalation path, cadence. Fewer meetings, higher signal. Reporting that tells the truth.
-
Diagnostic on licence and cyber
A quiet pass over Microsoft licence posture and cyber hygiene. Findings land in the reset, not a separate product.
-
Hand over a credible path
A written plan back to green. Three options with trade-offs. Sponsor chooses. Company 31 stays, rotates to Build, or steps back.
Fixed price for the thirty days.
Rescue is sold as a fixed price thirty day engagement. One number, agreed before the work starts, no change orders inside the window. The indicative range is available on the introductory call, sized against the programme value and the state of the artefacts.
If the diagnostic in the first week shows that Rescue is not the right instrument, Company 31 will say so and refund the unworked portion. That has happened twice in four years. It did not feel good either time. It was the right call both times.
Rescue FAQ.
How fast can Rescue start?
Manuel is on the ground inside two weeks of signature. In most engagements, the first steerco update lands within the first five working days.
What does the thirty day outcome look like?
A reset on scope, RAID, governance, cadence, and sponsor confidence, plus a credible path back to green. It is a written artefact, not a slide deck.
Do you replace our existing vendors?
No. Rescue works alongside the existing partners where they are competent and motivated. Where they are not, the reset names it and proposes a change.
What happens after the thirty days?
Three paths: hand back to the internal team, continue as Build with an assembled squad, or transition to a lighter oversight cadence. The decision belongs to the sponsor.
Will you sign a mutual NDA before the first conversation?
Yes. Company 31 uses a standard two-page mutual NDA and will sign yours if it is not onerous. No legal theatre.
If this sounds like the programme you are running right now.
Book a call. Thirty minutes, no deck. If it is a fit, Company 31 will send a scoped Rescue proposal within forty-eight hours.
